The driver, unless requested is dressed smart and casual and will assist with luggage and all those small errands which can make a difference including collecting drinks, papers and takeaways or delivering mail and collecting shopping of any description while waiting for his clients meeting(s) to finish.

 

Confidentiality is understood, guaranteed and considered a privilege and to VHE usually implies an acceptance of doing a good job!

 

VHE usually travel in an electric 2021 Vauxhall Vivaro edition which can be configured with different seating lay outs and can easily accommodate 6 grown adults plus the driver. Clients may use the special requests to specify their preference with three seats in row three facing the driver and two leather swivel seats that face forwards or backwards allowing two tables in between rows two and three. Separate air conditioning in the back, a sun roof and many other "mod cons" come with this top end model.

 

Whilst the battery benefits from a 143 mile home charge VHE suggest the maximum vehicle distance of 110 miles from pick up with a scheduled 35 minute service stop to be considered necessary to re-charge the vehicle back to (80% charge) 110 mile. If this is required the driver will whenever possible carry out this function when the clients are at their meeting.

The standard fare is £2 per mile for first 50 miles, (minimum fare £100) £1 per mile for the next 100 miles and £2 per mile over 150 miles.

 

The first five hours waiting time /  errand time are charged at £10 per hour, (members save £10 as first hour is free) any time over 5 hours VHE charge the drivers hours at £10 per 30 minutes.

 

If the passenger seat next to the driver is required an additional cost of £20 is incurred with parking charges and tolls charged paid by the client.

 

VHE make accommodation recommendations / reservations on behalf of clients (finder's fee) at a cost of £25 per booking.

Whilst Visit Hidden England started in 2021 Simon Raine has been organising tours and travel arrangements for 30 years with Fables, during which time his team gave pleasure to over ten thousand people by organising their sightseeing tours and golf tours in GB & I. Spotting a changing market place and adapting to current trends is vital in the travel industry and hence Visit Hidden England was created with the aim of concentrating on small quality tours in the Eastern side of England whilst still organising bespoke tours for overseas customers and golf clients in GB & I. using existing established suppliers.

 

Specialising in London's West End, Historic Houses, golf, walking holidays and top quality attractions for groups of 16 to 46 people VHE look forward to discussing your ideas and where you would like to go next in the British Isles. Our preferred partner has corporate vehicles covering 16, 24 and 46 seats with all the modern facilities and experienced drivers  required to make your bespoke journey special.

 

Alternatively for small groups of up to six passengers travel in our new Vauxhall Vivaro E Life Edition with a range of 143 miles, 2 swivel leather seats facing a row of three seats with tables in between (or in traditional style) and one seat by the driver anywhere in Eastern England. VHE usually operate from a luxury electric transporter with the option for the two middle row seats to face the third row of three seats with tables in between plus a seat beside the driver. Currently for everyone's comfort & safety we use the front passenger seat sparingly but if more than five passengers requested we charge £20 extra to cover additional safety procedures.VHE adhere to Government guidelines at the time regarding masks, gloves & sanitizing. Air is circulated & vehicles are non smoking with frequent stops accommodated.

 

VHE PRICES & MEMBERSHIP

 

If a bespoke personalised journey in Eastern England is requested (enquiry form best) a one off £30 fee is required to access members personalised journeys across the six Eastern regions and to cover an initial brief phone call or email to ascertain further information and additional places of interest or to request minor changes envisaged to the personalised journey chosen for your clients day or days out.

 

VHE personalised journeys start from £175 (members £165) for a six hour tour and up to 125 miles or £225 (members £215) for an eight hour tour and up to 175 miles. (Extra time and miles can be added) If you require a combination of our personal journeys or prefer a more tailor made journey, using the hidden pursuits ideas found on our website for each county, VHE charge £20 consultancy fee per hour to cover the changes plus any expenses (time & petrol) if required to visit clients premises.

 

VHE make accommodation recommendations / reservations on behalf of clients (finder's fee) at a cost of £25 per booking. If overnight accommodation is required the drivers costs are £75 per night. VHE pass on any commission savings to the client and where ticket or restaurant reservations are required prior to the day VHE charge the client £10 per booking.

Membership benefits are available for the person making the booking with complimentary membership for a year but without paying the £30 joining fee or receiving the £15 loyalty voucher. Whilst no direct financial incentives are derived from joining VHE there are potential impressive personal discounts / savings to be enjoyed as well as news / offers so please ensure permission is obtained from your organisation along with ongoing access to VHE members website before accepting VHE invitation to join as this is automatically offered to everyone on receiving our first instruction.

 

For all bespoke bookings water bottles, health snacks and a banana can be requested for £5 each with additional requests accepted and adhered to if possible.

VHE TERMS AND GENERAL INFORMATION FOR CHAUFFEUR AND BESPOKE JOURNEYS

 

If the date is changed less than 100 hours prior to the journey and VHE can accommodate the requested new date an administration fee of £20 is applicable but if unable to accommodate the request the deposit is lost. The £20 fee and any extras (parking, added mileage or hours) can be paid by card or cash to the driver.

 

A minimum £50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. If clients requirements change resulting in date / time changes or booking alterations after the deposit is paid VHE reserve the right to amend their fee and add to the balance a minimum £20 administration fee to cover up to an hour's fee.

 

The balance including any consultancy or finder's fees is non refundable and payable a minimum 100 hours before the scheduled day to ensure the booking remains valid; if funds not paid VHE will consider the booking cancelled.

 

If the date is changed less than 100 hours prior to the journey and VHE can accommodate the requested new date an administration fee of £20 is applicable.

 

Any payments owed for accommodation (including driver) or activities booked on clients behalf are to be settled by the client directly with no liability accepted whatever the circumstances. Under these circumstances VHE may inform the accommodation no longer involved.

 

VHE electric 2021 Vauxhall Vivaro edition has a 140 mile home charge. The maximum vehicle distance is usually 110 miles from pickups in Areas A, B & C with a 35 minute service stop required to charge the vehicle back to (80% charge) 110 miles. This is wherever possible carried out when clients are at meetings or at their destination.

 

Hire extras with Visit Hidden England include a bike rack for up to three people at £30, a small trailer (ideal for golf trolleys) £50 and a small table with four chairs for £10.

 

For larger groups VHE continue our ten year association with Skills Coaches and use their 16, 36 and 45 seater corporate vehicles with all the luxuries and more from executive coaches.

 

VHE OFFICE & WORKING HOURS

 

Phone calls, texts and emails are at times monitored outside VHE normal office hours Monday to Friday 8am - 6pm excluding Bank Holidays but for urgent calls we strongly advise contacting VHE between office hours . (VHE standard driving hours are between 7am-7pm Monday to Sunday)

VHE SURCHARGES .

 

Any hire period (part hire) where driving with passengers between 6am & 7am or between 7pm & 11pm add £10 extra. Outside of these hours VHE charge an extra £30.

 

VHE charge clients for any parking charges, congestion charges & road tolls incurred with card or cash payments accepted.

 

VHE PICK UP SURCHARGES

 

( members save £10 per journey and earn points (stamps) worth £8 to £10 towards their next £10 loyalty voucher! )

 

AREA A

F.O.C. for local residents who live in villages less than a 10 mile radius of Carlton Le Moorland. (Majority of these villages lie within the A46, A15, A17 triangle.)

 

AREA B

VHE charge £5 for pickups from Newark.

 

AREA C

VHE charge £10 for pickups from Lincoln postcodes and Rushcliffe Borough plus market towns of Grantham, Sleaford, Bingham, Southwell and Bottesford. In addition all the villages South of A17, West of A15, North of A52 and East of A46.(apply if outside Area A & B) Fables customers £5.

 

If booked for more than 110 miles a 35 minute service stop is required to re-charge to 110 miles which if possible will be carried out whilst the clients are enjoying the

 

VHE PARTNERS & NOMINATED CHARITIES

 

For larger groups VHE have built up an enviable relationship with reputable suppliers of mini busses and executive coaches. We usually receive a 15% commission on any work we recommend which results in a booking. For accommodation and reservation bookings we charge a £25 finder's fee and £10 booking fee per transaction. As VHE use regular suppliers our fee is usually saved through our purchasing power so shouldn't add to your costs!

 

VHE pay 1% to Lincs. & Notts. Air Ambulance & local historic building restoration projects on all bookings over £100 & make a 50% donation on members "tips" over £5 to endangered animal charities.
